iPad Pro Fold
Foldable, Transparent and Shapeshifter
Depending on how you open it, it can be a Tablet.
Fold on its back, the iPad leave the keyboard exposed like a laptop.
You can use the removable built-in keyboard for a real Desktop experience.
When the stand is fully-open, you can easily use the Pencil. When the stand is semi-open the iPad becomes a Desktop.
The iPad holds all the computing power and is connected to the monitor via AirPlay. You can still use the iPad thanks to an interface optimized for touch controls.
WiGig is an ultra fast local Wifi which allows wireless connection between the iPad and the Mac Mini. This way the iPad can benefit from the computing power of the Mac Mini (more CPU, GPU, storage and neural engine).
iPhone Fold
Foldable Transparent OLED
This is the first true foldable device. In this concept, only the screen is folding. This avoid to have a device that gets twice thicker when closed. The folding mechanism allows the iPhone to stand on its own (half folded), which is great for games and movies.
The screen is transparent which makes it the best device for AR content. The information is displayed on top of the world for a more realistic experience. The screen can also get fully opaque for non AR content, improving therefore contrast and readability in tablet mode.
The transparent screen allow the True-Depth sensors to be hidden behind it. Ultrasonic Touch ID is also part of the game, creating a total biometric experience. You don't have to choose, you get the best of both worlds.
Smart Screen is a combination of transparent OLED and Switchable Glass. This allow the screen to be transparent for AR content, and totally opaque for any other content like movies or games. The opacity gives a better contrast and an experience as close as possible to an iPad.
We are used to ask Siri all kind of things, but she can answer us only with her voice. Now she can show us what she means.
Don't tell me, show me
